At 65, She Decided to Face the Water—It’s Never Too Late to Find Your Strength

A 65-year-old woman suddenly traded her bingo nights for swimming lessons. Naturally, her friends were confused. “Why the sudden change of heart?” they asked.

With a helpless sigh, she replied, “Whenever my son and his wife argue, she asks him, ‘If your mom and I both fall into the water, who do you save first?’ I don’t want to put my son in that position anymore, so I’m learning to swim!”

A few days later, the couple was at it again. The wife demanded, “Tell me! If your mom and I fall in, who are you saving?”

The husband didn’t blink. “I don’t have to jump in. My mom knows how to swim; she’ll save you.”

The wife refused to relent. “No! You have to jump in and save one of us. Who is it?”

The husband sighed. “Then you’re definitely going to die… because I don’t know how to swim, and my mom is going to save me first!”
